AOL/Blender's lack of integrity with this survey should reflect on any and all news articles, business practices and advertisements that appear on AOL. If they want to play with the numbers on something like this, I can imagine they would feel free to do it in any way that promotes their business partners (like YouTube and Google).
AOL is getting ready to find out that My Chemical Romance fans regard Gerard Way a true hero and revenge as a pastime. This will be fun to watch.

I think it was awful of AOL to rig the results of their poll. People spent the time voting and from what I've seen Gerard was the winner. This needs to be corrected. I have been an AOL customer for many years on six different computers and plan to cease using AOL the middle of this month. I don't have much confidence in a company that would go so far as to rig a simple poll! How dishonest!

I too was voting for Gerard Way as hero of the year, and he was in the lead until the end. This poll-rigging ridiculous and unfair - the AOL polls must be run by a bunch of useless morons who enjoy watching young women taking provocative videos of themselves on YouTube, and therefore decided that the creators of said site deserve this title more than Gerard. YouTube hasn't saved anyones life, it hasn't done anything significant except show the world how much free time people have, and how they waste it watching idiotic, uninformative videos (and yes, I understand there are plenty of educational videos on there, but trust me, the majority is CRAP.). Gerard has saved an immense amount of people suffering from depression and suicide, myself being one of them. He is Hero of the Year, Hero of the Century, Hero of Forever. And no one at AOL will stop him from keeping that hard earned position.

I think Gerard should have won. From what I saw he was in the lead at 49% I believe. Then this happened. I almost started crying he has saved my life twice now and I am suicidal and depressed right now so I hope he can save my life a third time. Gerard should have won he is the hero in my book also we should complain to AOL about this.Who's with me?

gerard is the best guy anybody in this world could ever have this was so rigged he has saved so many peoples lives over the years man. he was saved from doing things by his band his band and him has been a great impact on people everywhere. who so ever says he wasnt a hero should be shot he should have won that.

None of these people should be "heroes". They're all on drugs or they're alcoholics or both. If you guys think THAT is a hero... yall really should seek professional help. I love music and movies just as much as anyone but they definitely arent my "heroes". This web page is completely pointless.

Gerard Way should be the hero of the year. It was wrong of AOL to say that you tube actually won when it was him! He is an inspiration to everyone, he has saved countless lives with his lyrics and how he has gotten away from his drug and alchohol abuse! One of the songs he wrote "Headfirst for halos" has saved me from doing some things. it has saved me. and i know there are a great number of other people who have had their lives saved by this wonderful man! he is caring, sweet, and just wonderful! how could AOL ever think of saying that you tube won when they arent even heros in any way at all! I mean i could be more of a hero than them! anybody could. So i just think they should just say sorry or something and make it the way it should be with Gerard Arthur Way as hero of the year, the one who actually deserves it.

I believe Amy Lee should have been Hero of the Year. I do like Gerard Way, but Evanescence honestly saved me from a deeper depression. I can't believe that AOL changed it so 2 guys that created a program that lets you see people that have too much time on their hands bother people. But I will watch a concert on there sometimes. Aren't these 2 guys famous because of that Lonelygirl15 'scandal'.

AOL you suck. I dont know how YOUTUBE has saved any lives but I defiantly know that Gerard Way (and MCR) have saved MANY LIVES, including MINE! I dont know if you were trying to be funny or whatever but Gerard is the real hero and we all know that.
